No sleep...

Yet again it's 2:30am and I'm still up... For some reason I haven't been able to sleep the last few nights. My dog Trea seems to be having no problem what so ever though LOL. He is just snoring away back in my bedroom while I sit in the living room watching the Breakfast Club on Cinemax. Good thing I'm off work this week.

So where has Jeff been? Well I said the hell with where my life was going and I made some changes. I put a profile out on Match and found a wonderful boyfriend named Patrick. We have been seeing each other since January of this year and I couldn't be happier.

I am out of the closet for good now and for the life of me can't figure out why I didn't come out sooner. I had always thought that my family and friends would be horribly disappointed in me for being gay. Well that was totally not true. Granted there have been some tough times and some people I told were sort of freaked out, but overall life is good now.

So since I'm out in my personal life this blog is going to reflect that from now on. I am an open book now!

So I made up my mind and decided to do a little online dating.

Lots of good looking guys in my area and I have decided if anyone who doesn't know I'm gay comes across my profile I will deal with it then. I think it will be easier to come out once I have met someone who will support me.

Things are looking up! :-)

I need a vacation!

For those of you who follow my poor blog I apologize for the lack of posts. People have been let go from both of my jobs and I have been super busy the last few months.

All is well here in my neck of the woods and I still haven't come out at work. I think I'm going to do a little online dating since I'm not having a lot of luck just meeting someone.

Well this is going to be a short post because I have to get to a flag football game!

To be or not to be out?

I'm seriously thinking of coming out at work, but it might cause more harm then good. I work in the construction industry and the majority of the guys I work with are REAL old school. I know that they can't fire me for being gay, but I need to come out so these guys can know the real me.

One of the temp guys is gay (totally not my type lol!), and out to 3 or 4 guys at the shop, yet those guys don't seem to have a problem with it. If I come out and all goes south I couldn't afford to leave this job so what should I do?

Some days working outside for a living has its benefits, but it was in the high 90's today and I am beat. My dog must have had a rough day also since he was in his pool napping when I got home and then went right to sleep when I let him in the house.

I will say that the heat is bringing out the hotties though in droves. Seems like I can't turn a corner in this town without seeing a good looking guy wearing only a pair of gym shorts. Seeing that kind of stuff can drive a guy to go mad!

I had totally forgot about this blog until I received a comment to my last post LOL!

Well I am still in Nebraska and all is well now. A few months after my last post I lost my job and was out of work for about six months. I know that sounds bad, but it literally saved my life. Once I as out of that hell hole I called my job I realized that it was that job that was the cause of my depression. I did some soul searching in those six months and ended up casting away all of my troubles and found a new job in the process.

As for the "in closet" issue I am out to a select group of people and am doing quite well. The first person I told flipped out and wouldn't believe me and ended up having to call another friend over to see what he thought. He was like "Duh? How could you not know?" and then we all laughed about it for a while. Now I need to find a good man to share my life with!
